Here is a simple way to get the powerful adaptogenic herb - Ashwagandha - into your breakfast smoothie everyday. Sweetness from banana, cinnamon and dates mask the often bitter taste of the powdered Ashwagandha root. Make it creamy with a nut butter of your choice and a hand-full of oats to get you through the morning.

Adaptogens do just that, they help your body become more resourceful and able to adapt to the stressors of modern living. An adaptogen may help improve the quality of sleep, promote a calm state of mind, better immune response and general well being. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 2 medium frozen bananas
  • 2 cups of plant milk of choice, we used almond
  • 1 scoop of TRIIBE Organics Ashwagandha Powder
  • ¼ Tsp cinnamon powder
  • Pinch of ginger powder
  • 2 Tbsp Cacao powder
  • 1 Tbsp nut butter of choice, we used almond
  • 2 dates
  • 2 Tbsp normal/gluten free oat flakes (optional)
  • Handful of ice cubes

PROCESS:

Blend all ingredients until smoothe. If you'd like it thicker add a little more banana or dates, if you'd like it less thick, add more of the milk of your choice.

Add delicious toppings like sliced banana, cacao nibs, or chia seeds. Enjoy!!
